At least four Atlantic Coast Conference basketball programs will be represented in this year’s McDonald’s All-American Game, and six ACC teams have secured highly ranked recruiting classes, led by Duke, North Carolina and Miami.

The 2024 McDonald’s All-American Game rosters, which were announced Tuesday, include the nation’s top-ranked senior, Duke signee Cooper Flagg, along with fellow future ACC players Jalil Bethea (Miami), Isaiah Evans (Duke), Donavan Freeman (Syracuse), Ian Jackson (UNC) and Drake Powell (UNC).

This year’s McDonald’s Game will be played in Houston on April 2 at the Toyota Center.

According to the 247 Sports Composite rankings, the groups signed by the Blue Devils (#1), Tar Heels (#7) and Hurricanes (#12) all rank among the top dozen nationally, while those secured by Georgia Tech (#20), Clemson (#24) and Notre Dame (#25) also rank in the national top 25.

During the current 2023-24 season, ACC rosters include 10 former McDonald’s All-Americans: UNC center Armando Bacot, UNC guard RJ Davis, UNC forward Harrison Ingram (a 2023 transfer from Stanford), Duke guard Jared McCain, Duke forward Mark Mitchell, NC State guard MJ Rice (a 2023 transfer from Kansas), Duke guard Jeremy Roach, Wake Forest guard Hunter Sallis (a 2023 transfer from Gonzaga), Syracuse guard JJ Starling (a 2023 transfer from Notre Dame) and Duke forward Sean Stewart.

The list of Class of 2024 signees and commitments below includes those for the 15 current ACC schools as well as California, Southern Methodist and Stanford because these players — currently high school seniors — plan to begin their college careers during the 2024-25 season, when the ACC will become an 18-team league.

High school seniors who missed the early signing period last November can commit to a college at any time, but they can’t sign their binding national letter of intent until the Spring 2024 signing period (April 17-May 15.).

Most of these recruiting classes also will be supplemented this spring and summer by major college transfers. Under current NCAA rules, college players can enter their names in the transfer portal (indicating their intention to transfer and allowing other schools to contact them) during a 45-day window that begins the day after the NCAA Tournament’s “Selection Sunday.”
