(July 12, 2023 | RALEIGH, NC)  BRENTWOOD PARTNERS, LLC, is pleased to announce that the NORTH CAROLINA PORK COUNCIL (@NCPORK) has signed a multi-tiered Agreement to become the Foundational Partner of the newly created NORTH CAROLINA SPORTS NETWORK (@TheNCSportsNet).

The new venture is set to launch original content on Thursday, July 13, 2023, and will be focused on the people, places, events and sports of North Carolina.

“The vision for the NORTH CAROLINA SPORTS NETWORK was born out of our love for the State of North Carolina and the lifestyle that is unique here in the Old North State,” BRENTWOOD Principal and Founder Michael Waddell said. “There is nothing more quintessential to the North Carolina lifestyle than barbecue and sports. The North Carolina pork industry plays an important role in supporting our rural communities, contributing more than $10 billion a year and 44,000+ jobs to the Old North State’s economy. We look forward to helping to tell the story of the NC Pork business and the incredibly positive impact that this industry has on our home.”

Programming will be based on the platform’s website, NCSportsNetwork.com, and via YouTube, Spotify, Instagram and Twitter, all under the @TheNCSportsNet address.

The cornerstone content for NCSN is the return of North Carolina’s most popular and successful sports talk program, “The David Glenn Show,” and its award-winning namesake host, David Glenn. The weekly content will be presented in a 60-minute, podcast format, with new episodes dropping each Thursday in July, expanding to Tuesdays and Thursdays in late August and beyond.

Additional @TheNCSportsNet programming for Fall 2023 will be announced in the coming weeks.

“People across North Carolina love their sports almost as much as they love their barbecue. We’re excited to partner with the NC Sports Network as it brings back the David Glenn Show to fans across the state,” said Roy Lee Lindsay, Executive Director of the North Carolina Pork Council (@NCPork). “We share their passion for North Carolina and appreciate their commitment to discuss issues in a knowledgeable, thoughtful and rational way.”
