The North Carolina Sports Network (NCSN) announced Monday the launch of Her Court, a new weekly program dedicated to women’s college basketball across the Bold North State and beyond.
The show is hosted by veteran broadcaster Chris Edwards, the long-time play-by-play announcer for Duke women’s basketball. Edwards has become one of the most versatile voices in North Carolina over the past two decades, including with his ongoing work for the North Carolina Sports Network.

Beginning with its Tuesday premiere, Her Court delivers comprehensive coverage of women’s hoops — from the Atlantic Coast Conference and Big South Conference to rising programs across North Carolina’s diverse college landscape.
Episodes feature exclusive interviews with coaches and players, in-depth analysis, historical context and storytelling that celebrates the athletes and programs shaping the game.
“Women’s basketball in North Carolina is thriving at every level,” Edwards said. “From the powerhouse programs at Duke, NC State and UNC to the incredible stories emerging at Campbell, Elon, High Point and elsewhere, there’s so much positive energy around the sport right now. Her Court will spotlight those stories and the people making it all happen.”
Her Court is part of NCSN’s expanding original content lineup, which also includes the award-winning David Glenn Show, Time-Out: The Tobacco Road Basketball Show, Court Vision (hosted by long-time athletic director Mike Waddell and featuring NC State basketball star Ven-Allen Lubin), This Was Then (focused on sports history in North Carolina), Bold North State Football Daily and The Old North State Tailgate. Together, these shows form the foundation of NCSN’s mission to bring fans expert coverage from those who have lived and led at the highest levels of sports.
“Chris Edwards has become one of the most talented and trusted broadcasters in North Carolina,” said Glenn, NCSN’s director of content and an award-winning broadcaster and journalist with almost 40 years of experience covering sports in North Carolina. “He brings a level of preparation, insight and enthusiasm that makes every game he calls more enjoyable. With Her Court, fans are going to get an inside look at women’s basketball in our state like never before — thoughtful analysis, great stories and a true celebration of the sport’s growth.”
“Chris brings deep knowledge, journalistic integrity and a genuine love for women’s basketball,” said Waddell, NCSN’s co-founder and a long-time NCAA Division One and professional sports administrator. “With Her Court, we’re creating a platform that matches the excellence and excitement we see on the court every week.”
Episodes of Her Court will premiere weekly on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts, as well as on the NCSportsNetwork.com website. Fans can follow @TheNCSportsNet on X (Twitter), Instagram, Facebook and YouTube for exclusive clips, updates and behind-the-scenes moments.
